Due to their role in DNA damage response, certain poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) protein family members are promising therapeutic targets for cancer. To identify inhibitors, researchers employ various in vitro assays to test for PARP enzymatic activity. Quickly generating high-quality data for inhibitor testing can be challenging, but by using optimized assay components, scientists can achieve sensitive and reproducible experiments to analyze drug specificity, effectiveness, and mechanism of action.
